Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts presents:
“[A] singer with a strong, lustrous tone and an amiably regal presence onstage.” – The New York Times
Brooklyn’s own Alicia Olatuja first received national recognition for her soaring solo with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir at President Obama’s second inauguration, and has since established herself as one of this generation’s most versatile and elegant jazz artists. Her sublime voice has graced the stage of major venues across the country with a combination velvety tone and vibrant confidence. Drawing from a wide range of musical influences — from classical and gospel, to jazz and R&B — she returns home to Brooklyn with her scintillating jazz styling.
